I'm always picking up old post cards, they're a lovely thing to have for inspiration;  I especially like the ones with the hand-tinted photos, and even better if they've actually been sent and have someone's message on the back.
I made some greetings cards using a few from my collection, but instead of cutting and sticking them I made some corner incisions in some blank cards and slid the postcard in so that it could be kept, framed or re-used by the recipient. To finish it off i sewed a little silk bow on to the corner of the card.
